Merry Christmas :)

Now I've been staying in one of my friends' house since 23rd.
I'm in Bronx in N.Y.

I had a greatly nice time on Christmas eve.

Before visiting her house, we stopped by Bryant park near times square to see a big Christmas tree and lots of small shops offered only during the Christmas season.
Honestly, I like the tree more that one in Rock Feller because the color of light of the tree in Bryant park was blue. On the other hand, the color in Rock Feller was rainbow. In fact, the tree in Rock Feller was bigger but we couldn't move there as there were bunch of people.

On the following day, I slept a lot and woke up at 12pm.
Then I watched the movie with her family and her mom taught me how to make a hair cap.
It was difficult for me to make it but she made it very easily.
She was amazing me because she could make a shelter, a drawer and a curtain, and paint a wall.
She makes pretty furniture!
She also taught me how to make Pasteloto which is one of Spanish foods, including meats and veges. It was so fun! It was like Japanese flied gyouza.
She made a lot of Domenica cuisine.

In the evening, we went to her friend's house. I really enjoyed dancing, playing with small children, eating Spanish foods, and talking with their families.
Actually they spoke Spanish so that I couldn't understand what they said but their children spoke both Spanish and English.
I tired to understand what they were talking even though I didn't know Spanish because some words were similar sounds to English words.
They taught me how to dance Spanish dance. I danced a lot and I was so hot. I was dancing even at 6am almost in the morning.
A boy, Elic is seven years old. He was so cute. I played DS which game was mario cart with him. He hit my head many times since I was always the last in the game.
He pointed at me, having his toy gun!
I was happy that he liked me even though he was a shy boy.

I enjoyed the party until six in the morning!
Every one was fine even though it was over midnight.

Stop !!

Stop!
Stop being in hurry.

Stop!
Stop there, being there for a few minutes.

You will notice that you don't have to be in such a hurry.

Even thought you don't have to hurry, you hurry.

When you stop suddenly, you will feel something strange but simultaneously you will smile, looking up the sky. You will feel refreshed, happy.
You might be surprised how often you are in a hurry in your life.

Where does the feeling come from?
Anxiety?
Getting success?
Getting rewards from others?
Catching your dream quickly?

Being in a hurry...
It makes our life less valuable.

Being there...
Be there for a few minutes.
You should feel being here in every tiny moment.
You are here.
You shouldn't forget the way you've gone thorough in your life.
Being in a hurry doesn't remind you of your tiny experiences.

Stop there and look up above the sky.

Birds

I saw bunch of birds from the window, riding on the bus on the way to a mall.

Who is a leader of the group of birds?
How do they choose a leader?

When I saw them for a while, another group was coming to the group and integrated into one group.
Surely, one bird was leading all of them.

Who decides their destination?

Some of them tries to catch up to them desperately.
Cheer up!
Cheer up!!
You can do it!

I felt that I wanted to encourage them to catch up to others.

A bird is small.
It might not be seen from our view when it is flying alone above the sky.
However, once they come together, they become strong.
Their existence is obvious.
They are stronger bigger than an eagle.

What feeling do they have when they become a strongly tied group?
Do they feel scared when they fly alone?

A bird is small.
It's very very small.

A group of birds is big.
We can easily recognize it.

It's the same bird.
But the appearance is totally different.

Looking up the sky, we will remember that we ourselves are small.

No border...

I would say that I am the happiest person in the world.
I am here as Japanese because I was born in Japan without my own will by a chance.

I asked one of my friends one easy question on the way to go back to our dorms which was "What do you want to do after going back to your country?".
The expected answer was like "I want to take a rest, meet my friends and family, eat delicious food, and go travel".
However, his answer was going to marine.
I didn't know what to say to him but I didn't change my face as I didn't want to show compassion because I thought that such a feeling was rude for him. Still I felt something wrong, talking with him about his marine.
There was a great possibility to die.
But it was mandatory so that he had no choice only to go to army for two years.
On the other hand, I don't have to think about army as my thing because I was born in Japan.

What did we divide in the world even though our world was only one sphere?
Who made borders between countries?
Who created discrimination between races?
Why do we have different rules in each country?
What is the identity?
What is the meaning of border?
How and Why do we use different communication tools as we use different languages?
Many people try to keep their cultural identities.
Everyone has difference between individuals.
Should we really make difference between countries?
Can't we live in the same ground without borders?
We have intelligent ideas in our head as we've already invented new high technologies.
I think that if we really use our knowledge based on our consciences, we can share all resources together.
Do we really need borders to make business?
Do we really need business to be alive in this world?
I don't know.
I feel like the world in which I'm living is not natural.
How can we make our life more happier without borders?
Ironically, I can say the borders make our lives because they created business, that is to say, money.
Or can we make our world with no borders by business?
As long as business exists in our world, the difference of the status between people might exist.
But it might be a easier way to make more people happier although it will make more discrimination.

I am thankful for....

I experienced thanksgiving at one of friends' house.

It was a old house so that it looked like very traditional.
I loved her house so much which has a fireplace, a big TV, many sofas, a large garden, a wide basement's room and a counter kitchen.

Her parrot greeted with full of vitality and he said,"Hello!" whose voice was so funny but pretty.
He was crying in his loud voice which made her family bothered as he was the bird which got lonely easily.

It was my first time to eat turkey.
Fortunately, her mom was a teacher teaching traditional cooking and learning nutrition so that all the meals she made were very delicious and healthy because she really cared about which kinds of food she used in her meals.

Before eating her special dinner with a big family, we said words each of us felt thankful for in turn.
What I said was that...
I'm thankful for everyone I met in USA because I don't feel lonely here since many people are very kind of me as you invited me here. I really appreciated your great kindness.

I was grad because they really listened to what I wanted to say very carefully even though my English was hard to understand easily because of lots of grammatical errors and a lack of vocabularies.

I'm thankful for my family supporting me even without my notice.
I'm thankful for my friends giving me valuable ideas.
I'm thankful for being here with a smile.
I'm thankful for my situation where I can easily get what I want.
I'm thankful for nature making me calm.

I'm thankful for....
Looking back to my life, my life was filled with lots of thank you.
